It is important to me that my students have a say in their learning. So at the begining of each term I ask the children what they would like to do that term and they write down some ideas. We then all conference together and find out why they have chosen those ideas, are they achievable, practical and can we carry out those activites. The children also choose one goal they would like to achive that term., we record it then at the end of the term we check to see if they have met their goal. My students are now begining to edit their own work and co-construct their learning goals. Below are some photographs of all this in action. Comments from parents after student conference night,. Here are some of the comments I received from parents after the student led conferences. I put a comments book by the door for parents to comment if they wanted to. I enjoyed reading all the wonderful feedback comments |
